Among vintage Omega collections, the Constellation “Pie-Pan” occupies a particularly important place. Introduced in the 1950s and produced through the following decades, the Constellation established itself as Omega’s most prestigious automatic dress watch, distinguished by its chronometer certification, refined movements and unmistakable faceted dial architecture.

This 1967 example, Ref. 168005/6, is an especially elegant expression of the line, combining a warm 18K rose gold case with the classic white Pie-Pan dial. The characteristic raised central section and sharply defined outer facets create the visual depth that made these Constellations so recognisable to collectors, while the restrained design gives the watch an exceptionally timeless character.

Inside is the automatic calibre 564, one of Omega’s most successful and collectible movements of the period. Introduced in the mid-1960s, the 564 is a self-winding movement with quick-set date functionality, representing the mature evolution of Omega’s 500-series architecture.

The serial number 24.xxx.xxx places the watch in 1967, perfectly consistent with the reference and movement generation.

Presented on a brown crocodile strap, the combination of rose gold and white Pie-Pan dial is particularly refined. For collectors, examples such as this represent one of the most compelling ways to experience the Constellation: a technically sophisticated Swiss chronometer, but above all an important chapter in Omega’s vintage design history.
