This is a truly wonderful chronograph from the end of the ‘30,
Hugex is a trademark used by Huga S.A, founded in 1933 by Bernard Vuille.
It was headquartered in La Chaux de Fonds at 73/a Rue Leopold Robert, which at 73 saw the headquarters of another major maison, Eberhard & Co.
The HUGEX name was registered for use in the US, in July of 1951, although they reported use since Dec. 1936.
Huga SA was also specialized in the production of chronographs and was responsible for timing almost all of the sporting events in La Chaux de Fonds for almost two decades
