History & Details:
Almost all the batches of this model were primarily created and distributed for military use; in fact, civilian distribution was bad and with very little follow up.
Military assignment therefore is almost certain when dealing with GF ZRCs.
The third series of the Grands Fonds features a rotating metal graduated bezel with a single luminous triangle, crown at 6, a box case, and date feature.
Narrow stick hands replaced the magnum hands, yet the lollipop second hand remains. 36mm case, 7mm counter-threaded crown, 21mm lug width. This model also had a dial variation with larger luminous dots in the minute track marking the hour. Clockwise, Top, Close up of the dial.
Top Right, The luminous triangle within the metal bezel.
Middle, red date indicator (it is not a quick set roulette date, nor does it have a function). Bottom Right, Upon opening the caseback, a curved metal disc and brass antimagnetic dust cover protect the movement- an ETA 2472.
The curved disc flattens as the caseback is tightened, maintaining pressure on the dust cover over the movement. Bottom Left, Domed pleixglass. Middle Left, A slotted crown which allowed for tightening/loosening with a tool.
