Zenith sandwich gold

This Zenith, dated 1939, represents the height of luxury of that period.

The build quality, of the three-piece, 18kt gold case with metal hallmarks is incredible.

The dial is sandwich, that is, the dial is carved at the hour markers and allows a disc the solid gold underneath to show through, so as to create a very distinctive three-dimensional effect.

Typical workmanship of high-end dials of the time, used by maisons such as Patek, Longines and Vacheron in primis.

The newly overhauled movement, is the superfine Zenith 40T, has 18,000 a/h with 47h power reserve.

This was the typical lordship watch of the WW2 period and is perfectly preserved and ready to be shown off.

The watch comes with the original lovely box.
