The reference 890101/01 belongs to the later iterations of the Aero-Compax, offering a very legible 24-hour dial instead of a second time register like in the earlier examples. The 24-hour bezel doubles up this function, and allows the wearer to track a second timezone.

Interestingly, examples of this reference from the 1960s did not feature an in-house chronograph movement, but a modified version of the Venus 178 to accommodate for the 24-hour display and the unusual

15-minute register (the duration of an airplane check before take-off). As can be expected with a tool watch, the 41mm case feels substantial on the wrist and allows for an efficient reading at a glance.
