Released in 1965, the Eberhard Scafograf 300 was given a new case with twisted, faceted lugs similar to that of the Omega Speedmaster Professional. The dial was also given a date window--its quirky, asymmetrical shape reminiscent of the Universal Genève Polerouter Date--and long markers and baton hands. Most importantly, the Scafograf now had a depth rating of 300m.
It is increasingly difficult to find this diver in excellent condition; the delicate aluminum bezel is often ruined, as is the dial, which is often flooded. In this case both are in excellent condition for a professional watch from the 1960s. The case back has suffered much wear, perhaps a victim of old polishing. Overall, the watch has an indescribable flavor and charm.
