The Oyster Perpetual is the cornerstone of the Rolex brand. Since its inception in 1931, it's laid the foundation for every model in the Rolex catalog and served as a staple collection for the company.

This example, the ref. 1005, is a popular variation that enjoyed a long run from the 1960s through the 1980s. Here, we have a relatively early iteration of the 1005 from 1967 .

Part of what makes this particular ref. 1005 special is the soleil champagne dial. It provides a handsome continuum to the yellow gold accents and gives the watch a striking presence on the wrist.
