The 16808 was launched in 1979.

The watch came in two different configurations; a blue bezel inlay with a blue dial and a black bezel inlay with a black dial. The example we have Luxo Time Firenze has a black bezel inlay and a matte black dial that, together with the gold text and 18k yellow-gold Nipple index, provide the watch with such a cool vintage look.

Together with the 16800 this was the first Submariner with sapphire crystal instead of plexi crystal and therefore, we think this watch combines best of both worlds: vintage looks with modern qualities. The case, bezel and lugs are very sharp and scratch free and are surely unpolished.
