The Rolex Day-Date made its first appearance at the Basel Fair in 1956 (the patent, on the other hand, was registered some time earlier, on July 23, '55), immediately placing itself in price and elegance at the top of the range, previously represented by the Datejust. Its prerogative is the simultaneous presence of the date and day, a complication that allows it to compete on par with models from the most prestigious maisons, also boasting water resistance (50m - 165ft) guaranteed by the famous Oyster case.

Our Rolex Day-Date is a ref. 6612 that features a smooth bezel and records the introduction of the new balance wheel with Microstar adjustment screw. The modification to the movement allows the Day-Date ref. 6612 to boast the prestigious Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified certification attesting to its accuracy.

The champagne dial gives to this Day-date a tone of charm and warm elegance, as does the original solid gold deplo, which closes the genuine Rolex brown crocodile strap and the original Rolex deployant.
