The Pronto watch factory was launched in 1890 Le Noirmont, Switzerland, not much later a second factory emerged in Langenthal. The company adopted several names over the years however it was always referred to as Maître, named after its founder Léon Maître. The Pronto brand name was registered after the turn of the century, in 1902 to be exact. .

The 1960s marked a golden era for skin divers and dive watches, a period defined by innovation, ruggedness, and style. As scuba diving gained popularity as both a sport and a recreational activity, the demand for reliable and functional underwater timepieces surged.
During this time, brands like Rolex, Omega, and Seiko pioneered features that became standard in the diving watch segment.

This chrono diver is in near-to-new condition, is driven by the famous Landeron 248 hand-wound in perfect condition. The case is steel and the chronograph buttons are pump.The balck dial has tritium hands and markers.
We paired it with a black LTF pigskin.
