The Omega Speedmaster Apollo Moonwatch 311.30.42.30.01.002 was produced as a limited run of 7,969 pieces in 2009 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Mission.
Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch 311.30.42.30.01.002 features a round stainless steel case with a diameter of 42mm. It showcases the iconic Moonwatch black bezel and a black dial adorned with luminescent hour markers, enhanced by the inclusion of the Apollo 11 patch positioned at the 9 o’clock subdial. Encased within the 42mm housing is the caliber 1861 manual-wind mechanical movement, complete with a chronograph function.

In 2009, there were two limited edition Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Apollo 11 “40th Anniversary” watches commemorating the historic first manned lunar landing, with one crafted in stainless steel.
The series has remained largely unchanged for the past five decades, bearing witness to extraordinary feats of endurance and bravery, including the historic first lunar landing on July 2, 1969, and all NASA piloted missions since March 1965. This special edition watch was initially introduced in 2009 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar mission.
It features the signature Moonwatch black bezel and a black dial with luminous markers, along with the Apollo 11 patch positioned at the 9 o’clock subdial.
