The reference 2998 is one of the oldest and most collectable. With a relatively short production run that lasted from 1959 until 1962, the reference 2998 was produced with eight sub-references, each with their own list of subtle differences and variations.
Like all other reference 2998 Speedmaster watches, the reference 2998-6 is powered by OMEGA’s hand-wound, Caliber 321 movement and is considered the rarest and most highly sought-after among collectors today.
One of the defining characteristics of the reference 2998 Speedmaster is its 39 mm diameter case with straight lugs.
This feature combined with its smaller case diameter , a very rare “telemetre” bezel (which was provided only upon request) and hour and minute hands with Alpha design makes for an unmistakably vintage appearance.
The Omega Speedmaster is among the most iconic and well-respected watches in the entire world, and the reference 2998-6 is very hard to find in such good conditions.
Our "pre-moon" is in spectacular condition, newly serviced, arrives complete with its rare 7912/6 (1964) bracelet.

Shipping is free worldwide. We use selected couriers and send you the tracking details once payment has been received. For deliveries outside Italy, import duties and taxes are paid by the buyer.

Yes, in our shop at Via Porta Rossa 75/R in Florence, usually open from Tuesday to Saturday. Opening hours change with the season: you always find the current ones on Google Maps.
