In 1969, when humankind made history on the lunar surface, this Speedmaster model became the first watch ever worn on the moon. Since then, it has served the most lunar missions. In design, the watch was the first Speedmaster featuring an asymmetrical case, done so to provide added protection for the crown and pushers.
Our Speedy is a rare bird ref.3575.3000, only 600 examples were produced (from 2001 to 2003) for the Italian and Japanese markets. It mounts the caliber 1866, hand-wound chronograph movement with rhodium-plated finish. Based on the famous caliber 1861 with the addition of moon phase and date display. Power reserve: 48 hours
The bezel is in white gold as the hour markers and hands. Note spheres and bezel inspired by the first Speedmaster ref CK 2915.
