Omega Oversize Honeycomb rose gold

This elegant rose gold Omega dates from the 1950s and features a large diameter and original Honeycomb dial.

A common diameter for a men's watch from the 1950s was between 31 and 33mm. In the 60s it was 33-34mm. Vintage watches from this period that feature larger diameters are referred to as "Oversize" and are sought after by today's watch collectors due to their presence on the wrist. This oversized Omega 2714 has a diameter of 37.5mm and is a collectable vintage watch not only because of its size, but also thanks to the beautiful dial and the great condition.

An unrestored Honeycomb dial from the 1950s is indeed something special. The patina of this 70 year old Omega reflects the natural aging of this watch making it totally honest and authentic. The dual-tone dial has a lighter outer ring with hour markers and an inner with the honeycomb pattern, small seconds counter is at 6 o'clock and an applied Omega logo. The hands have the beautiful dauphine shape and, like the indexs and the case, are in 18kt Rose gold.

The case is made of solid 18k rose gold and measures 37.2mm in diameter. The beautiful spider lugs contribute to the special look of the Omega. It's almost unbelievable how well the case is preserved despite its age: barely visible scratches and an intact profile speak for themselves. The octagonal winding crown is original and bears the Omega logo. Even the acrylic crystal is original and shows the Omega logo in its center.
