Laco Uhrenmanufaktur GmbH (or Lacher & Co) is a German watch manufacturer, founded in 1925 in Pforzheim by Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel under the name Lacher & Co.

Laco is an icon in the industry for its robust line of German pilot watches. The company confidently boasts its title as the creator of the “Original German Pilot Watch”. Companion of the fearsome Luftwaffe pilots.

This watch ia big. 55mm big.
The size of the sandblasted steel case accommodated large hand-wound movements typically used in pocket watches, but the B-Uhr was always to be a watch for the wrist. Each one used a Breguet balance spring. Inside, the movement is surrounded by an iron core, making the B-Uhr anti-magnetic – a must for aviation. To correct for time discrepancies, the movement is capable of stopping the central seconds hand by pulling the crown, or hacking, and the oversized onion crown could be operated with gloves on the hand.

This one is a Type B and it has an outer ring for minutes/seconds and an inner ring for hours.
The case hads FL23883 engraved on the left side. FL designated flieger, and 23 identified the watch as a navigation watch.

This watch is of extreme rarity. A museum piece that can be worn in everyday battles.
