Eska was founded in 1918 by Mr Silvan Kocher senior and his son Erwin. Their workshop S. Kocher & Co was built in his home village of Selzach which is in the German part of Switzerland.

Art Deco was a style of arts, architecture and design popular in the 1920s and 1930s, characterized by geometric forms and rich decorations. What makes Art Deco special is that its influence spread all over society: it was the first democratized art style.
You can recognize an Art Deco watch by its geometric shaped case, often rectangular or circular. Geometric forms can be found in even the slightest detail of decoration or functionality.

In this case we are dealing with a classic art deco clock.
The bombeé glass and classic square shape have a timeless appeal.
The case, 18kt gold-plated in these cases, encloses a hand-wound movement from the house of Eska.
The watch is a new old stock, so never worn and perfectly preserved from the 1940s to the present.
It arrives with its original strap and cardboard tag.
Triveting watches of this type, from this era, new is increasingly a pipe dream and we at LTF are extremely fascinated.
