In the late 1800s, Georges-Lucien Eberhard opened his first watchmaking workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. In a few short years his operation grew and grew, and, by 1887 that first workshop was transformed into the manufacture to which Georges-Lucien gave his name – Eberhard & Co. In the years that followed, Eberhard became more and more established in the world of watchmaking, especially in the world of precision chronographs and, later, for professional sports watches. This watch is a representation of the elegance of the 1950s. Its lines, the almost art decó lug workings, the contrasting rose gold applied hour markers, and the case machining tell of the attention and importance Eberhard gave to its dress watches. This is one of the typical examples of how vintage, with little expense, can give great satisfaction on the wrist of those who demand style and sophistication.
