Brand: Eberhard
Typology: Vintage chronograph
Year: 1936

Eberhard was founded in 1887 in la Chaux de Fonds by 22-year-old Georges Eberhard, the son of a watchmaker from Bern. Not many companies have managed to cross three centuries and remain as independent today as they were then. And if it hadn't been realized, Eberhard is one of them.

1935 is the year of a true revolution. Eberhard & Co., after years of research, markets the first 2-pusher chronograph with stop and reset without resetting, through the new "slide" pusher positioned at four o'clock. This is an excellent system for easy reading of intermediate times at the same time as the overall time, which revolutionizes the use of the chronograph.

Caliber 16000 was sewn by Valjoux as if it were a haute couture dress exclusively for Eberhard. It has a diameter of 36 mm (16 lignes), manual winding, slide pushpiece, 17 jewels, anchor escapement, monometallic balance with screws, Breguet balance spring, 18000 Alt/h.

This "Pre-Extra" has a beautiful bitonal, silver and cream dial with a fascinating patina of time.
The 40 mm case, with a plain bezel, is steel and features precisely the famous slide pusher.
It's fitted with an handmade cream pigskin.
