Rare Eberhard chronograph pocket watch from the 1930s. Stainless steel case measures 54 mm. open-face, hand winding Eberhard 16 lignes, round in shape. Intact original salmon dial with Arabic numerals, fitted with subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock and two horological complications: 1/5 second chronograph (activated by round pusher on winding crown) with graduated tachymeter scale for 1,000 meters and graduated telemetric scale for 1 kilometer; olive-shaped pusher locking chronograph functions (scroll to 1:30). Semi-instantaneous 30-minute recorder (subsidiary dial at 12 o'clock).
This watch is an undisputed rarity, representing a piece of horological history and a memory of an era when design and technology were at their historical peak. This pocket chronograph is the predecessor of the very famous Eberhard Pre-Extrafort, a well-known and esteemed wristwatch known to all vintage collectors.
