The Dirty Dozen is the name of a movie from the 1960s, depicting the misadventures of 12 fictional soldiers during the Second World War. It is also, in watch collecting circles, the name given to a group of 12 watches worn by those who actually fought in it – specifically, British soldiers. They were commissioned by the British Ministry of Defense (MoD) during World War II, and while they may not be as highly rated as other military watches when they are presented.

Of the twelve brands, the Cyma WWW is one of the most popular for several reasons. First, it adopts in a solid stainless steel case that measures 38 millimeters. Many of the other manufacturers used chrome-plated cases, and this has made Cyma specimens easier to find in good condition. It should also be noted that the 38-millimeter case is the largest of the dozen, which makes the Cyma more desirable today.

Satin finish on the case and polished finish on the bezel makes the watch pleasing on the wrist despite its size. The plexi crystal featuring a soft curvature is hard to find in good condition.
The movement is the Cyma 234, a 15-ruby manual winding enclosed in a soft iron cover that protects the caliber from dust and magnetic fields.

The dial is black with Arabic markers and Radio luminescence also on the hands, seconds at six o'clock, broad arrow on the dial as on all WWWs, and assigned case back. It seems to be increasingly difficult to find examples with original Radium in good condition especially since the British Ministry of Defense tended to overhaul them by replacing the Radium with a less dangerous material.

Our Cyma is in fabulous condition, the dial tends to brown in sunlight and still has the original radium lume, the case is intact and unmolested,it has original plexi, the 234 movement has been serviced now and it comes with a vintage brown cow-hide strap.
