After introducing the first GMT-Master I| (Ref.16760) in 1983, Rolex brought the second generation GMT II, the Ref. 16710, in 1989. In addition to the steel GMT in three bezel options, there was the Bi-Color Ref. 16713 in yellow gold and steel only with brown/gold bezel, as well as the all-gold Ref. 16718.
Not intended by Rolex, some of the brown/gold bezels can fade over time, giving the watch a nice distinctive vintage look. On our 16713, the gold side of the bezel is slightly faded. In combination with the still very strong brown half and the strong brown/bronze shimmering dial, it gives the watch a contrasting root beer rainbow effect.
The case is in excellent condition. No scratches or damage are evident. The band is in equally pristine condition with hardly any stretch.
