Abraham-Louis Breguet is regarded as the most important watchmaker in horological history for a reason. He is recognized as a major contributor for moving watchmaking forward with a series of inventions that are still in use today, including the Breguet hairspring, the self-winding system, and, perhaps most notably, the patent of the tourbillon on June 26, 1801.

A-L Breguet's creations were presented to European aristocrats of his era, including Queen Marie-Antoinette and Napoleon Bonaparte. Breguet's pocket watches were so well-known and highly regarded during his life that there is even evidence of counterfeit watches being produced that mimicked his signature style.

This modern Breguet creation encapsulates all the fundamental elements of the brand's hallmark style, with the highest attention to detail. The 18k rose gold case has a fluted caseband, another Breguet signature, which is visible from the side of the case. The white gold dial has a silvered two-tone design, with guilloché in its center, and an outer brushed track with black Roman numerals. Of course, the watch features heat-blued Breguet hands as well. This watch comes with the original 18k rose gold Breguet-signed buckle along with a green presentation box
